Spring 2

Dear Parents,

I hope that you all had a lovely half term break!

During the 2nd spring term children will be introduced to our new Geography topic “Let’s go on safari”. They should all have a new overview in their research log which provides ideas of things that you could find out with your child. I was really impressed with the amount of research that we received during our last topic.

Your child will be bringing home a new home/school reading book this week which they will be able to use in order to write about their favourite books, class reads, stories from home and any other things that they share with you.  Please date each page and write the book it is relating to if possible.  I am looking forward to seeing what your children enjoy reading.

We are continuing to work on multiplying and dividing during our Maths lessons as well as revisiting time and length. Children will also be introduced to fractions and position and direction by doing fun activities in class.

During our Art and design lessons we will be looking at African textiles and will be creating some batik designs using a range of materials.

Please feel free to speak to me after school if you have anything you would like to discuss regarding your child or alternatively drop in to our regular drop in session after school on Thursday afternoon between 3.30-4pm.

Thank you

Miss Abbot
